Educational Advisory Council

The Educational Advisory Council is a consultative body whose functions is to work in concert with the Pastor, the Principal of the School, and the Parish Trustees to recommend policy, provide advice and assistance, and offer support with regard to the Parish School. It is expected to be a collaborative body, with all members contributing to the discussions.

Some areas in which the Educational Advisory Council will have consultative input are long-range planning, school policy, monitoring the annual budget and income/expenses. Included are recommending tuition structure and collections, development, and other areas as assigned by the Pastor, Principal, and/or Parish Trustees.

Membership is comprised of parishioners from varied backgrounds and stages in life. Each term of service is three years. The majority of work is performed through committees who then make recommendations for action to the general Council. Members should exhibit a passion for the value of Catholic education and commitment to help ensure that Catholic education remains a viable and sustainable option for the Parish.

Foundational to the Council is regular and effective communication between the Educational Advisory Council, the Pastor, the Principal, the Parish Trustees, the parishioners, and the School families.
